Disney 2022

by Member Cody Pye aka “Passport Stamp Chaser”

Disney World was an amazing and unforgettable trip for our family. Kids were at the perfect age for Disney (7 & 9). They are not too old to do some of the rides and meet the characters and not too young to do all the roller coasters. We didn’t have to worry about a stroller and kids can get in and out of bathroom without help, all helpful at Disney. It will be fun to see what they remember.

Ashley used a Disney coordinator with contact info below. We did one day of VIP which was amazing as we got to skip all the lines (you go through lightning lane every ride but have unlimited access). We got in almost every ride we wanted in one day and visited all 3 parks. Finished the day in VIP area (picnic dinner) for fireworks and it was an amazing show.

We stayed at the Grand Floridian which was a nice place with multiple pools. Walking distance to Magic Kingdom which is great when it comes to avoiding lines at the end of the fireworks show.

REVISIT tips:

  • Avoid Christmas break, busiest time

  • Use the wrist badges and not your phone

  • Stay on the monerail for convienent access

  • At Animal Kingdom, avoided Avatar area and went to Everest to ride the rides before crowds made it over that side of the park.

  • Lightning Lane is a must, our coordinator set it up for $25 a day.

  • Have kids wear camel packs for all day water. You can refill them at the park for free, and you can bring them on all of the rides. HUGE WIN!

  • We went during Halloween and had the option to add the Not so Scary Halloween Party for our first day. This is a perfect way to get access to the park with short lines as regular ticket holders have to leave by 6:00. Definitely recommended.

  • Around the World Food and Wine Festival at Epcot is going on this time of the year. Great experience stopping at different places to try the food and drinks, and the kids enjoyed it too.
